Ways to spend
Ways to spend your visit
We have rearranged the facts on the Access and Cafe pages around 4 situations people often wonder about before they visit.
Only 2 hours to spare
- Eat as soon as you arrive (the daily lunch is limited in number and ends when sold out).
- After your meal, walk to Ikujigaoka Park (about 2 min on foot, almost flat) or the Tomb of Prince Asaka (about 5 min on foot).
- Pick up Wazuka tea and tea dango at the farm shop on your way home.
No car
- From in front of JR Kamo Station, take the Nara Kotsu bus (Wazuka–Kizu Line) for about 14 min, get off at “Wazuka Yamano-ie”, then walk about 4 min.
- About 75 min from JR Kyoto Station and about 85 min from JR Osaka Station (train and bus). Check times on the official timetable.
- On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays within the operating period, there is also a seasonal bus (Chagenkyou Wazuka Line / Green Liner).
With small children
- Next door, Ikujigaoka Park (about 2 min on foot, almost flat) has a well-kept lawn. Children can have a play before or after the cafe.
- 14 indoor + 16 terrace seats. Complimentary Wazuka-grown hojicha.
- Parking is behind the shop (80 standard cars).
Groups and large buses
- The car park can take large buses (the Green Tea Wazuka car park, behind Wazuka no Sato).
- Reservations for up to 20 people. For groups and stays, please call us to discuss.
